The late Masina 'aoina Malufau Akana

Born to Feso & Tauamo Malufau in Faleniu, American Samoa.  The Malufau's moved to Laie in the 1960's to help with building of the Polynesian Culturtal Center.  She married Nicholas Akana in 1968 in the La'ie Hawaii temple.  Masina gave birth to 7 children, Jarinn, Brandyn, Masina, Suelan, LeGran, Laren & Trensen.  Masina was a loving individual that adored children.  She had a voice of an angel.  With no formal voice training, she sang in an opera voice that could pierce your soul.  Mother Masina passed in September 1993 and has joined the heavenly chorus of angels singing praises to the most high.  We miss her dearly.
